Client Training Agreement

This agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and policies related to personal training services. Its purpose is to ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for both client and trainer.

Services Provided

Personal training services may include:

  • One-on-one in-person training (in your home or mine)

  • Virtual personal training sessions

  • Weekly group fitness classes

All programs are designed to support strength, mobility, confidence, and overall quality of life, and are tailored to the client’s goals, abilities, and experience level.

Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete health history information

  • Inform the trainer of any medical conditions, injuries, or changes in health

  • Follow exercise instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed

  • Train within personal limits and communicate discomfort or concerns

  • Obtain medical clearance when advised

Your safety and well-being are always the priority.

Trainer Responsibilities

The trainer agrees to:

  • Provide professional instruction and thoughtful exercise programming

  • Offer modifications as needed to support safety and comfort

  • Respect each client’s starting point and progress appropriately

  • Maintain a supportive, non-intimidating training environment

  • Keep client information confidential

Health & Medical Disclaimer

Personal training is not a substitute for medical care. The trainer does not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe treatment.

Clients acknowledge that participation in physical activity involves inherent risks and agree to assume responsibility for their participation. Clients are encouraged to consult with a physician before beginning any fitness program.

Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

  • Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance

  • Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged in full

  • Consistent scheduling helps support progress and accountability

Group classes may be canceled or rescheduled due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances.

Payments & Refunds

  • Payment is required prior to sessions or program start

  • Packages are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

  • Expiration dates, if applicable, will be clearly communicated

Virtual Training Acknowledgment

Clients participating in virtual sessions understand that:

  • Adequate space, equipment, and internet access are the client’s responsibility

  • The trainer cannot physically correct form

  • Clients assume responsibility for safe execution of exercises

Photography & Media 

With client permission, photos or videos may be used for educational or promotional purposes. Consent will always be requested in advance.

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate services at any time. Any outstanding balances remain the responsibility of the client.

Agreement & Acceptance

By participating in training services, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this agreement.
